XII International Pushkin Contest for Teachers from CIS, Bulgaria, Germany and Israel

We invite teachers from post-Soviet states as well as Bulgaria, Germany and Israel, teaching Russian language and literature or introducing the students to Russian culture, history and folklore to participate in the XII Pushkin Contest called “Your tongue will get you to truth.”

The contest is organized by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, UNION of Belarus and Russia newspaper and Moscow government with support of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The contest is comprised of three stages:

Publication of the contest terms: January 2012.

Essays on a preset subject are to be forwarded till April 15.

The analysis of the submitted works, publication of the best in Russian printed media, and the jury session – till May 20.

Reviewing the results, naming 50 finalists and publication of their names in the founding newspaper and on the contest site on Pushkin’s birthday – June 6;

The ceremony of awards’ presentation to the price-winners is held in Moscow within the City Days on the first weekend of September.

Each of the 50 prize winners will be presented a 6,000-ruble award.

Russian Center Opens on Board of Training Sailing Vessel Mir

The opening of the Russian Center took place on April 26, 2012, in St. Petersburg on board of the training sailing vessel Mir, which is getting ready to set sail for more than 20 foreign ports. The center was opened with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
